Gulf Air celebrates debut flight to Georgia

Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air today (June 22) celebrated the launch of its direct thrice-a-week service to the Georgian capital Tbilisi. Two additional flights will operate on June 23 and 25 on this sector to cater to the Eid rush.

Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air today (June 22) celebrated the launch of its direct thrice-a-week service to the Georgian capital Tbilisi.

A celebratory event took place at Bahrain International Airport with The Georgian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and  Oman George Janjgava joining the officials of Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs, Bahrain International Airport and Gulf Air.

Commenting on the launch, Gulf Air CEO Maher Salman Al Musallam said: "I am delighted Gulf Air is directly connecting Bahrain and Georgia – and witnessing such high demand as we commence operations is a positive indication of what is to come."

"I look forward to seeing passengers from across the GCC and MENA region fly with us, enjoying the Gulf Air product and service offering en-route to experiencing the diverse appeal of this destination," he noted.

Gulf Air’s direct flights between Bahrain and Georgia are supplemented by, this week and due to high passenger demand, two additional flights that will operate on June 23 and 25.

Bahrain’s national carrier operates double daily flights or more to 10 regional cities, providing seamless connectivity for passengers travelling across its network via its efficient Bahrain International Airport hub.-TradeArabia News Service
