Passenger and cargo customers alike have benefited from greater choice after Emirates increased its flights between Dubai and Perth in western Australia from four tunes weekly to daily, on May 15. The extra flights provide capacity for 900 extra passengers per week and an additional 45 to 50 tonnes of cargo.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, commercial operations director, said that the increase in flights to a daily service within nine months of the route launch was a result of strong demand.
"In recent weeks, inbound axed outbound demand has led to Emirates speeding up its Perth expansion plan.
