Alpine adventure from Swiss hotels

A consortium of hotels from the Swiss Alpine resort town of Zermatt has launched a series of packages to entice Middle East visitors to go beyond the cities and see the natural beauty of Switzerland's countryside this summer.

For as little as $902 per person guests can sample some of the wonders of the Swiss Alps in summertime for three nights with Seiler Hotels and Riffelalp Resort 2222m.

Martin Sonderegger, marketing director for the group, which made its debut at ATM in Dubai, said: "Our packages will be particularly attractive to visitors already travelling to Zurich, Geneva or one of the other Swiss cities during the summer, but we hope they will also appeal to new visitors to the country".

Based in the mountain range that includes one of the world's most famous peaks, the Matterhorn, this hotel consortium can offer accommodation and a range of packages to suit all budget and tastes. Choose from family hotels like the Seiler Hotel Nicoletta or simply get away from it all at the high altitude Riffelalp Resort.

The car-free village of Zermatt lies in the Swiss Alps. From here visitors can explore the summertime mountains and nature which surround Zermatt in a multitude of ways - walking, hiking, mountain biking, using one of the 18 cableways and ski lifts that operate throughout the summer.
