Retaj Hotels and Hospitality has secured the mandate to manage a new four-star property in Doha, located in Rawdat Al Khail. The property features 84 rooms a restaurant, coffee shop, a meeting room and a gym.
Speaking at the signing event, Dr Mohammed Bin Johar Al Mohammad, vice-chairman and managing director of Retaj Group, said, 'Retaj Hotels has become sought after, especially by families from the Gulf and Arab region. Retaj Hotels & Hospitality derives its values and identity from the teachings of Islam and maintains the customs and traditions of the conservative Arab families.'
TTN has learnt that Retaj has ambitious expansion plans, taking with its authentic brand of Islamic values in hospitality, a balance of modern and conservative concepts, to newer regions. This is already reflected in its existing operations in Asia, Africa and Europe. The band operates two hotels in Turkey, Retaj Royale Istanbul and Retaj Thermal Hotel & Spa Yalova.
The brand is actively seeking opportunities to expand into other GCC locations, Kosovo and the Balkan Peninsula brining a taste of Arabic hospitality beyond the Middle East. The planned openings in the new future are Retaj Inn Marina Residence, Retaj Al Nasr, Retaj Inn Msheireb and Vichy Célestins Spa & Hotel by Retaj Doha, while Retaj Al Salam in planned for an opening in Djibouti.
The series of new openings and project launches in Qatar, bode good news for the hospitality sector. The tourism ministry’s push is driving this positive growth, with new shopping seasons, international events in sports, education, culture, as well as Mice events.
