Worldhotels conducts unique emotional audit

Worldhotels unveiled World Luxury, a hand selected collection of independent hotels at ILTM Cannes last year.

'We are immensely proud that each of our World Luxury hotels is capable of providing guests with a distinctly contrasting yet authentic travel experience,' says Markus Mueller vice-president, global sales of Worldhotels. 'At the end of the day, it is all about story telling. It is important that our guests leave our hotels with a positive memory and a wonderful story to share.'

Interestingly, World Luxury hotels undergo a 750-point quality assessment that includes an ‘emotional’ audit designed by LRA by Deloitte. The first of its kind in the luxury travel industry, this tailored audit focuses on elements that transcend the typical mystery shop, emphasising the guests’ emotions following their stay. World Luxury membership hotels must be part of the Virtuoso network and/or Fine Hotels & Resorts. (and have a minimum ‘TrustYou’ score determined by Worldhotels).

The Anam Villas along Cam Ranh Beach in Nha Trang, Vietnam is the newest member of the World Luxury collection, combining the beauty and heritage of the Indochine era with a colonial look and feel, found across each of the property’s 95 villas.

Joining the line-up of World Luxury hotels is the landmark White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou, China – which has received various heads of state including Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and former President George Bush senior of the United States; Amatara Wellness Resort in Phuket, Thailand – a haven of wellness and tranquillity and one of the only destinations in Asia offering an authentic Thai Hammam; Amilla Fushi – set in the tropical paradise of the Maldives and located in one of the Indian Ocean’s 26 natural atolls; Sunset Marquis Hotel – situated on Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, United States, the property has long been heralded as a home-away-from-home for avant garde fashion designers, rock legends and supermodels; Upper House in Gothenburg, Sweden – a stunning example of Nordic beauty – can be found on the top floors high above the already established Gothia Towers, Northern Europe’s largest hotel and conference facility.
