Millennium & Copthorne inks major deal
LAST month, Deyaar Development PJSC announced a management agreement with Millennium & Copthorne to operate three hospitality developments in Dubai, with a total of 953 units.
The strategic alliance with Millennium & Copthorne spans three of Deyaar’s current developments – a hotel and serviced apartments development in Al Barsha next to Mall of the Emirates; luxury residences, The Atria in Business Bay; and premium serviced apartments, Montrose in Dubai Science Park. These include one, two and three-bedroom serviced apartments and four-star hotel rooms.
All three developments are scheduled for completion from late 2017 to early 2018.
IHG signs Holiday Inn Dubai Science Park
LAST month, InterContinental Hotels Group signed a management agreement for the 402-key Holiday Inn Dubai Science Park. The newly built hotel is owned by an affiliate of the Rolaco Group.
Scheduled to open in 2019, the hotel is located in Dubai Science Park, the region’s first freezone community offering facilities including office and laboratory space, as well as residential units, with the aim of creating a vibrant ‘Life Sciences’ community. Located near the Arabian Ranches and Motor City, Holiday Inn Dubai Science Park is just 15 minutes away from one of the largest and busiest shopping malls in the city, Mall of the Emirates.
The hotel will comprise of 402 rooms and suites, including five meeting rooms and a conference hall seating 600 guests. To ensure an enjoyable experience for the guests, Holiday Inn Dubai Science Park will also offer four food and beverage outlets, an outdoor swimming pool and a gym.
New Hilton for Dubai’s Jumeirah Village
DUBAI master developer Nakheel signed a letter of intent with Hilton Worldwide last month to manage a new, 256-room hotel at Jumeirah Village Triangle.
Under the proposed agreement, the 18-storey hotel will be managed under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand, known for its warm, friendly service that provides upscale comfort for business and leisure travellers.
Announced three weeks ago as a major new feature of Nakheel’s upcoming Al Khail Avenue retail, dining and leisure hub, DoubleTree by Hilton will be directly linked to the mall’s 350 shops, restaurants and entertainment outlets.
The hotel will have 256 rooms (including four suites), an all-day restaurant, coffee shop, lounge, outdoor terrace, pool deck, gymnasium and car park, as well as a leisure club with preferential membership rates for residents of the Jumeirah Village Triangle community.
Construction of the hotel will begin this month, with completion in 2019.
Element Dubai Al Sufouh announced
STARWOOD Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has signed a management agreement with La Vender Real Estate to open a new Element hotel in Dubai, expected to become the fourth Element hotel in the fast-evolving market.
Scheduled to open in 2019, Element Dubai Al Sufouh will cater to today’s savvy and environmentally conscious travellers. The hotel will offer both business and leisure guests 330 light-filled rooms and an atmosphere designed to fuel a life in balance and on the move.
Element Dubai Al Sufouh will feature 330 spacious studios and one bedroom suites, with fluid design of modular furniture, fully equipped kitchens, the signature bed and spa-inspired bathrooms. Hotel amenities will include food and beverage outlets including the Restore gourmet pantry, fast and free wi-fi, a state-of-the-art 24-hour fitness centre, two swimming pools and a spa. Furthermore, the hotel will offer meeting space with modular furnishings, a flexible layout and state-of-the-art technology that can be customised to meet any business or social needs and a fully equipped business centre.
The hotel will be located in the Al Sufouh area, in close proximity to the city’s major highway Sheikh Zayed Road and Dubai’s premier shopping and entertainment destination, Mall of the Emirates. The property will be the tallest building of a part of a master development with 39 floors and views of the Arabian Gulf and the iconic man-made island, Palm Jumeirah.
