Bahrain to be promoted

A Bahrain delegation comprising representatives from hotels, tour companies and travel agencies, will participate at the ATM.

The government delegation will be headed by assistant under-secretary for Tourism Mubarak Al Atwi. Gulf Air will also have a substantial presence at the ATM, where the airline will unveil its new livery and launch a new all-economy class airline.

The ATM is scheduled for May 6 to 9. Bahrain participates in the event for the tenth consecutive year, said Al Atwi. The Bahrain stand will promote extensively the forthcoming healthcare exhibition in September, the Formula One project and the Riffa Golf Club.

Besides four officials from Tourism Affairs, more than 50 representatives from various tour companies and travel agencies will also represent Bahrain at the ATM, the under secretary said.

Gulf Air will have a very visible and attractive presence at the mart. Gulf Air's new livery will be unveiled at the stand. The new all-economy class airline, will also be launched during the ATM. The airline is scheduled to start commercial operation as a division of Gulf Air from Abu Dhabi in June.

The French hotel group Accor announced that it would celebrate its 20th anniversary at the ATM. The hospitality group will stage the Middle East launch of its "Privileged Guest" loyalty cards for its luxury brand "Sofitel Hotels and Resorts" comprising 160 hotels in 53 countries.
