New course for aviators launched

The Emirates Aviation College (Aerospace & Academic Studies) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (McU) with London-based City University to launch full Masters degree programmes for aviation professionals.

The MSc. programmes in Air Transport Management and Air Safety Management are specifically for pilots, Air Traffic Controllers, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and air defence services who plan to further their careers within the industry.

College principal Mohammed Al Budoor signed the MoU with Professor Roger Wootton, Course Director of the university's School of Engineering.

Al Budoor said: "The signing of this MoU with City University is another milestone for the Emirates Aviation College, adding to its portfolio of management courses. Our target is to develop a faculty for the MSc courses within the next two years."

The courses, comprising 10 modules each, are run over three years at the college in Dubai, at City University in London and in Zurich, with students from across the Middle East, Europe and Africa attending the three locations for specific modules.
