The InterContinental Jeddah is boarding this month on a 10 month trip to rejuvenation, said a hotel spokesman.
Starting late March, major works will be performed to renovate the property's 347 rooms. The new décor will feature a very contemporary, luxurious and clear design with wooden parquet, marble bathrooms, modern dark wood furniture and very light fabric colours.
Technology is also part of the programme as renovated rooms will offer Data Ports and Modem, Guestlink TV with in-room Internet and interactive features, as well as all devices, which make today's busy and demanding Business Traveller's life easier.
Renovation works will also include the Lobby area ( where a new Café Lounge will be built on a prime location to enjoy the sea view ) and the construction of a top-of-the-art Business Centre ( where Business Travellers will find a well-equipped and cosy "office away from home" ).
Overlooking the Red Sea, minutes away from the business district and enjoying a unique location on the Corniche just in front of Jeddah's world famous fountain, the InterContinental Jeddah will continue to offer unparalleled services delivered by dedicated and well-trained staff during the renovation works.
The $5m project shall be completed by the end of this year.
