Qatar Airways has said it will fly to Manchester from April.
The Qatari national carrier will also begin flying to Kochi in the southern state of Kerala from March. Last year Qatar Airways added seven new destinations to its network and will add a similar number this year. The airline is to take delivery of two more A330-200s soon. Meanwhile, 20 top travel agents for Qatar Airways, from Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, were presented specially designed Oryz Awards by the airline, in appreciation of their performance in passenger and cargo sales, at a colourful function held in the capital last week. Fifteen awards were presented for passenger sales and five for cargo sales. Further, three awards were given away to the Civil Aviation Department, the Abu Dhabi Airport Services and the Trans Arabian Air Services, the general sales agent for Qatar Airways in the United Arab Emirates. Omeir Travel Agency was honoured as the top passenger sales agent in Abu Dhabi for Qatar Airways and Al Amaan Travel and Tourism for Al Ain region. Atbara Cargo was ranked the best selling cargo sales agent.
