RAK airport sees numbers slump

The Ras Al Khaimah Airport is expected to witness a five per cent decline in passengers during 2002 compared to the last year, a report said.

The decline is due to stoppage of Gulf Air flights from the airport, said Mohammed Al Khidr, director of operations at RAK airport.

In the period between last January and October, the overall navigation indicator recorded 6,971 flights including 2,889 cargo flights, involving both passengers and cargo.
