Regional airline Gulf Air is considering flights to Alexandria, Athens, Johannesburg, Salalah and Sydney for the summer schedule.
The schedule comes into effect on June 1, said networks vice-president Fareed Al Alawi.
Other destinations in Africa, Asia and the Americas are being considered for inclusion over the next three years. Flight frequencies are also expected to increase as part of the airline's three-year recovery plan.
'Our customers have told us that frequency is important to them and that these added destinations are where they want to go,' said Al Alawi.
