Marriott and Amex organise 'Excellence' programme

Marriott Global Sales has recently completed a highly successful 'Partnership in Excellence' programme for companies in Dhahran, Riyadh and Jeddah in association with Amex (Saudi Arabia). The programme was organised to better understand the travel needs of national companies based in Saudi Arabia.

Samir Daqqaq, vice-president of Marriott Global Sales, Middle East, Africa and Subcontinent said, "Every market has its own distinctive cultural and economic influences, and Marriott has always believed in taking into account these factors when custom making solutions for our customers. The programme gave us an opportunity to put this business philosophy into practice in a key Gulf market. We have been delighted with the response from companies who participated and in achieving our twin objectives of strengthening our relationships with key customers, and getting a better understanding of their differing requirements."

Over 50 companies attended the series of single day workshops. The participants included main key decision-makers in these companies, who understand the travel patterns and travel policies of their individual organisations.

For both Marriott and Amex (Saudi Arabia) the one-day events represented an opportunity to listen and learn from their customers in addition to outlining the combined strengths and travel solutions that the two companies have to offer leading companies in Saudi Arabia.
