Bahrain becomes another new destination for the Crowne Plaza hotel brand next month with the rebranding of former Holiday Inn.
The Crowne Plaza Bahrain becomes the 13th property in a line-up of Crowne Plaza hotels and resorts in the Middle East and Africa.
The hotel owners, Bahrain Tourism Company, began the transformation in November 1999 by completely refurbishing the 165 guest rooms and installing new air conditioning and telephone systems.
The second phase of the renovation saw the refurbishment of the La Mosaique restaurant and Harvesters pub, the creation of the new Tracks Sports Bar, Harvesters Terrace, an outdoor paved patio, an Arabic tent, children's playground, and an Arabic "Golden Club".
The final phase has brought a new hotel entrance and reception area, a new Cappuccino coffee lounge, and new air-conditioned guest corridors and an additional 60 car park spaces.
To round it off, the hotel will have a new themed seafood restaurant by the year end.
