An Arabic Internet site is among a slew of initiatives being launched by the British Tourist Authority at this month's Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.
The new Arabic site for Middle East Internet users interested in travel to Britain - www.visitbritain.com/ahlan - provides users with a vast array of travel information, attractions, events, accommodation, education and holiday activities in Britain.
BTA will also launch a "Visit Britain News" newsletter providing British travel and tourism products in the region.
And "Britain for Families", a new brochure, in both English and Arabic, targets families and young people interested in travel to Britain. It has 16 pages of information about accommodation, theme parks, destinations to visit, tourist attractions and shopping throughout Britain.
"Arabian Travel Market is our last big opportunity to reach the Middle East Travel trade before the summer travel season," said a BTA spokesman.
"We find it good platform for the British Tourist Authority and its British partners to promote Britain to Middle East and to do business with the travel trade in the region.
"Arabian Travel Market represents a major travel trade event for us to reinforce our commitment to Middle East as a priority market.
BTA has taken part in all ATM's since the event was launched eight years ago.
