At 5,500 square feet, the coastal Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh claims to be the largest and most luxurious spa and wellness centre in the region, complete with indoor and outdoor treatment areas.

Separate facilities extend to men and women, from locker rooms to steam rooms, saunas and 12 treatment rooms. Private, open-air massage rooms allow guests to relax and unwind while enjoying the warm breeze from the Red Sea and the sweet scents of the resort's own spa products.

The desert and sea provide inspiration for the many treatments available at the spa, including wraps, aromatherapy, thalassotherapy and beauty treatments.

.The Egyptian Facial, for example, is based on ancient Egyptian beauty recipes, traditionally used by Egypt's royalty to reduce the signs of aging or to alleviate dry or oily skin.

Heated, aromatic Egyptian herbs and oils are used for the Pharaonic massage, which soothes muscles, nourishes the skin and induces relaxation, providing an experience as spiritual as it is sensual.

A few moments in the outdoor shower or a splash in the private plunge pool are the ideal way to wind up a visit to the spa.

Guests wishing to maintain a fitness routine or start a new one, can visit the fitness centre.

The resort is offering a selection of value-added packages this year.

The packages are aimed at honeymooners, spa lovers, families and regular tourists and are available until December 31.

They include the basic Bed and Breakfast package, with luxury accommodation and full breakfast, the Desert Romance and Celebration packages, with luxury accommodation, breakfast in bed, a candlelit dinner on the room terrace or in a tent in the desert, and special flower decoration.

A joint five-night Cairo-Sharm El Sheikh package combines the calm exoticism of Cairo with the tranquility of the Sinai desert with a similar accommodation and breakfast deal.

One specialty spa package has been custom-built for couples to enjoy revitalizing massages, facials and exotic spa treatments together.

"Couples massages are becoming a popular feature of Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh. Private Spa rooms are booked by couples who want to enjoy the relaxing experience of a massage, sauna, and shower together. The resort also has a new re-hydrating Spa menu," said Ashraf El Manawaty, director of sales and marketing.
