Qatar Airways has promoted its Bahrain-based manager to take charge of its operations in India, where the airline is doubling its capacity.
Saeed Parkar, who arrived in Bahrain in January this year as area manager for Bahrain and Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, has been promoted to regional manager Ñ India, and will be based in Mumbai (Bombay).
Qatar Airway's Egypt manager Behjet Halwah, a Jordanian national, will succeed Parkar in Bahrain.
"India is one of the most important destinations for Qatar Airways, which is now expanding its network," Parkar said.
