Dubai based luxury hospitality group Jumeirah International has opened its regional sales office for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Based at The Carlton Tower, one of the two prestigious London hotels that the group took over last December, the regional sales team is headed by Jane Armitage, director of sales and marketing for the UK & Ireland. Armitage, who is British, has worked for Jumeirah International for the last five years and has held a number of positions in the group. Most recently, she was the director of sales at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai. Responsible for the travel trade in the UK will be Sadie Carrington who has been appointed regional sales manager - leisure. Before joining Jumeirah International, Carrington was with Le Meridien Hotels for five years also in the sales and marketing field. Her main responsibilities will include managing existing and developing new relationships with the main tour operators in the UK. Appointed regional sales manager - conference & incentive is Janet Broomfield. Before taking up her new assignment, she worked with the Hall Hotel & Conference Centre. Completing Jumeirah's regional sales team is Joanna Egglesfield who joined in the capacity of regional sales coordinator having previously worked at Millennium and Copthorne Hotels.
