Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts has opened a new hotel next to the Media City film studios in Cairo.
The hotel chain has eight hotels and two Nile cruisers in Egypt.
The new 5-star hotel is located on the edge of the city, adjacent to the 'Hollywood of the Middle East' and 10 minutes away from the pyramids of Giza.
The hotel offers 214 rooms, 48 executive rooms, 18 junior suites and one presidential suite.
The gardens and grounds are set against a backcloth of parkland with lakes, palm trees and pools.
There is also a modern leisure center with state-of-the-art equipment, Jacuzzi, sauna, tennis courts, massage salon, three swimming pools, children's playground and area.
The Nile Ballroom can accommodate up to 2,250 and there is a multi-functional theatre offer.
The ballroom, located in the main building, is large enough to cater to up to 450 guests. The hotel also has a fully equipped business center and an Internet Café.
Meanwhile, the group has opened a new extension at its resort in El Quseir.
The extension at the Mövenpick Resort El Quseir has added 72 new rooms, a grill restaurant and three additional swimming pools.
The extension to the hotel aims to provide guests with an increased amount of accommodation options, says the resort.
"Now that we have 250 rooms, our resort hotel has reached the appropriate size and has the appropriate facilities to do justice to all the needs and wishes of our guests," said general manager Robert Fellermeier.
