Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts will open its ninth property in Saudi Arabia and its 22nd in the Middle East in October as part of an ongoing development programme in the kingdom.
"The Half Moon Bay Holiday Inn Resort will be a valuable asset in our ever-growing portfolio of properties in this region," said David Atkinson, Area Director, Marketing, Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts, Middle East and Africa.
Located 40 kms from Al Khobar in the east coast region, the multi-million dollar resort complex will contain 60 one and two bedroom villas complete with kitchenettes, parking and maids' rooms.
The villas, as well as a further 40 guest rooms, will be situated around an artificial lagoon with three adjacent swimming pools. Further amenities include watersports facilities, a poolside restaurant, and meeting facilities to accommodate business and incentive travellers.
The resort joins a Saudi line up of other Holiday Inn hotels including Minhal Holiday Inn Riyadh, Olaya Holiday Inn Riyadh, as well as hotels in Jeddah, Hafr Al Batin, Damman, Najran, Yanbu, and Al Khobar.
Since opening last October, also in the eastern region, the Al Khobar Holiday Inn has enjoyed above-average occupancy rates and played host to a large number of weddings, banquets and special functions.
Welcoming guests with 106 rooms and suites, including 19 executive lounge rooms, the hotel has banqueting facilities for up to 1,500 people, as well as a business centre, with full meeting equipment and support services on request.
Priority Club members can take advantage of a private check in and check out desk. Offering 24-hour room service, international restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, and a gift shop, the hotel is within easy reach of the corniche, parks, shopping malls, Dhahran exhibition centre and Bahrain causeway.
Also close at hand are the offices of Aramco, the world's largest University of Petroleum and Mineral, UPM, the Chamber of Commerce building, and Dammam Port.
This summer Holiday Inn hotels and resorts in Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East are offering attractive weekend room rates and value benefits available through the highly popular Weekender Plus programme until September 15.
Visa cardholders using their credit card to pay for a two-night Weekender Plus stay during this period get a third night free.
