Sulayem ... new projects

Seven Tides Hospitality, which is the newly launched dedicated hospitality division of Seven Tides International, is participating at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) for the first time under the brand banner, with a number of project updates to communicate to its partners and stakeholders.

'As well as sharing updates across the entire Seven Tides portfolio, which includes the flagship Dukes London hotel, Anantara The Palm Resort & Residences, Mövenpick Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel, Mövenpick Deira and the popular West 14th restaurant on Palm Jumeirah, we will be focusing on sharing details of our upcoming Dukes Dubai hotel, which will open in Q4 2016,' says Abdulla bin Sulayem, CEO, Seven Tides.

With a prime location on the west trunk of Palm Jumeirah, the city’s most desirable island community, Dukes Dubai delivers an upscale blend of cosmopolitan luxury coupled with British charm and tradition, he says.

The resort hotel is conveniently situated within a 10-minute drive of Dubai Marina, 45 minutes from Dubai International Airport and 35 minutes from the upcoming Al Maktoum International and Expo 2020 site.

The hotel offers the opportunity to stay in style with a choice of accommodation options comprising 279 tastefully appointed guestrooms and suites plus 227 studios and one-bedroom apartments, all with appointed Arabian Gulf, Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah or city views.

Also at the ATM, the company will focus on the recent launch of Seven Tides Hospitality, which is the dedicated hospitality division of Seven Tides International.

In addition, it is also launching a brand new leisure facility, the Palm Beach Club at Dukes Dubai.

'The upmarket club will feature a Mediterranean-inspired range of facilities including the Zen Café Bar, which we hope will become a preferred late night venue for the city’s in-crowd; a state-of-the-art gym with panoramic views out over Palm Jumeirah and to Dubai Marina, an outdoor functional training venue, and signature Sun Spa,' he says.

The Sun Spa is a new and innovative spa concept for health and wellness-focused guests looking for related products that are hip, trendy and accessible.

POSITIVE TRENDS

On business, he says last year was an exciting year for the company with the launch of Dukes Dubai in April 2015, with 90 per cent of its hotel apartments already sold under the luxury residential component.

'We also launched the hotel rooms portion of our Anantara The Palm Resort & Residences project at the end of last year and this has been equally well received by the market with 85 per cent of all units sold to date.'

In terms of hotel performance, despite the challenging global market, all the company’s properties are performing above expectations with consistently high room rates, he says.

'Looking at our luxury residential hotel projects in Dubai, we are seeing very positive sales prices for both the Anantara The Palm Resort & Residences as well as Dukes Dubai studio and one-bedroom units.

'Our portfolio, across the different brands, is also performing well with high occupancy levels and average room rates recorded over the last 12 months and into Q1 2016.' What it is important to remember is that Dubai has a reputation as a safe environment for tourists and presents some highly attractive investment opportunities, which are a major draw for both short-stay visitors and long-term investors.'

From an investor perspective, Seven Tides Hospitality offers great opportunities with a guaranteed ROI (return on investment) over several years; which is a major incentive for investors.Another channel of opportunity is the development of strategic partnerships with world-renowned hotel and restaurant operators, which will add even more value to a Seven Tides Hospitality-developed project, he adds.
