World’s first cobranded lounge

Share

Last month, Plaza Premium Group and China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited jointly announced the launch of the world’s first co-branded airport lounge in Terminal 2 at Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

Located near Gate 77 at the Departures of the Airport’s Terminal 2, the new No.77 China Eastern Plaza Premium Lounge welcomes all travellers regardless of their airline or class of travel. The new lounge spans over 1,800 square metres, providing close to 500 comfortable seats.

Having built to the 'East Meet West' philosophy and with Plaza Premium’s sleek and opulent design, the new No.77 China Eastern Plaza Premium Lounge expresses Plaza Premium’s brand ethos of enhancing your airport experience and highlights the China Eastern concept of 'world-class hospitality with Eastern charm'.

The lounge is fully equipped with an array of relatively independent facilities, including leisure area, buffet area, bar area, five internet workstations, nursing room, three shower rooms, relaxation area, honeycomb seating, smoking room and complimentary wi-fi to provide travellers with a premier personalized experience of privacy and priority.

Featuring a 180-degree airport runway view, the new lounge offers a wide selection of Chinese and Western buffets throughout the day. Shanghai- and Hong Kong-style signature noodles are freshly prepared at the live cooking station as well.

HONG KONG LOUNGE

Plaza Premium Group partnered with SkyTeam to manage and operate the latter’s new lounge in Hong Kong and the new SkyTeam Exclusive Lounge was open at the Departures of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) late October, providing passengers of the 20 SkyTeam member airlines with a high-quality airport lounge service.

This is the second collaboration of the group to manage and operate a lounge for SkyTeam, following the opening of the SkyTeam Exclusive Lounge at Sydney International Airport in January 2015.

EXPANSION PLANS

At ITB Asia earlier this year, Plaza Premium Group revealed its global expansion plan by unveiling new brands and locations. The group has diversified its airport hospitality businesses by adding Allways, Aerotel and Flight Club to its existing portfolio.

Aerotel, a unique line of airport transit hotels under the group, was also unveiled as the world’s only hotel to have an outdoor swimming pool and pool-side bar in the airside restricted area. Aerotel provides comfortable accommodation to transit travellers and those flying in the wee hours, with signature fragrance and soft acoustics, five-star mattress, powerful hot shower and natural skincare products to give travellers a home away from home cosiness.

This one-of-a-kind Aerotel opened on Level 3 at the Departure Transit Lounge of Terminal 1 in Singapore Changi Airport, with subsequent openings in Abu Dhabi International Airport and London Heathrow Airport next year.
