Nahas joins as Towers Rotana GM
Rotana has appointed Karim Nahas, who has been serving the hospitality chain as general manager since 2009, to the post of general manager for Towers Rotana Dubai. Nahas managed Grand Rotana Hotel & Resort – Sharm El Sheikh for four years and Rose Rayhaan Dubai for three years.
FRHI Egypt promotes Gamil
Magdi Gamil has been promoted to the post of cluster director of sales and marketing, FRHI – Egypt. His new scope of work includes Citystars Sharm El Sheikh and any new projects in Egypt, in addition to his current role as director of sales and marketing, Fairmont Nile City.
Richard Collins has been appointed as general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, a 294-key beach resort. Collins brings with him extensive experience from Ireland, the UK, USA and Switzerland. He joins with 17 years’ experience as general manager, from JW Marriott Dubai.
Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel Dubai has appointed Mohamed Farooq as the new assistant director of sales. With over 14 years of strong experience in the hospitality industry, he has extensive knowledge of the UAE market. His most recent posting was at Copthorne Hotel Sharjah.
Dubai’s luxurious Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa, which recently joined Autograph Collection – Marriott International’s exclusive portfolio of independent hotels, appointed Fredrik Reinisch as the new general manager. Prior to this Reinisch was regional general manager for a UAE-based hotel chain.
HMH – Hospitality Management Holdings has appointed Lebanese national Nizam Bou Antoun as the new general manager of Corp Amman Hotel. With more than 18 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, he brings an in-depth knowledge of rooms division, revenue management and sales and marketing with him.
One&Only Resorts has appointed industry leader Mike Bonner as vice-president, marketing, One&Only Resorts. Bonner will be responsible for the entire global marketing of the brand, including online and offline channels, customer relationship management, direct marketing, creative services and partnerships.
Rixos Hotels appointed Turkish national Yeliz Hisman as the regional director of sales and marketing. She will be responsible for sales and business development across three continents. Her role includes identifying market trends, determining system improvements and implementing change.
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in Jordan has appointed Irish national Michael Nugent (pictured here) as its new regional director. On a global level, Andrew Langdon has been hired as senior vice-president Asia. Langdon brings nearly two decades of director-level experience in Asia.
Mark Fagan joins The Domain Hotel and Spa, Bahrain as food and beverage director. He brings with him 20 years of experience, having worked with Shelbourne Hotel – A Renaissance Marriott Hotel, Dublin and Al Bustan – A Ritz Carlton Hotel, Oman. Fagan is passionate about creating signature beverages from local fresh produce.
