Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara has appointed Thomas Fehlbier as general manager. Prior to this, Fehlbier served as general manager of Anantara Hua Hin Resort & Spa in Thailand. Fehlbier brings with him 25 years of experience in the luxury hospitality business across Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates has hired accomplished hotelier Grant Ruddiman (pictured here) as the general manager. With more than 30 years of hospitality experience, he has worked in numerous roles. The hotel has also appointed Alexander Suski as director of sales and marketing.
Millennium Plaza Hotel Dubai has appointed Greg D’Souza as the director of sales and marketing. D’Souza will oversee sales and revenue generation and will strategically position the property to drive optimal sales and revenue. Prior to his new role, he served as corporate director of sales in Rotana’s area sales office.

A man with more than 30 years of hospitality experience and a passion for working in remote areas has been appointed general manager of the Sanctum Inle Resort in Myanmar’s Inle Lake region. Philippe Arnaud joins from Paris, where he served as corporate operations manager for Valotel France.

San Francisco native Kate McCue will command Celebrity Summit, a 91,000-ton, 965-foot ship in the Celebrity Cruises fleet, sailing between the eastern United States and Bermuda.
