Tours to exotic Malaysia are proving popular.

A beach holiday, a trek through the tropics or a peep into exotic lands and cultures, Dubai-based Sharaf Travel can offer it all.

A leading travel and tour operator, Sharaf Travel has a wide range of holiday options for UAE residents this summer.

The company has branches across the emirates in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Jebel Ali besides Dubai and offers corporate and retail travel services, holiday packages and inbound services through its Oasis Adventures.

The company is also a member of the American Society of Travel Agents and the Japan Association of Travel Agents besides being the GSA for Delta Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Finnair and South African Airways.

"With the full backing of Sharaf Group, Sharaf Travel has grown in strength to become a major player in the travel & tourism sector in the UAE," said its marketing manager Manoj Kuriakose.

Kuriakose said the company aims to spread its wings in other Gulf countries to expand its network.

He said this summer the company was seeing a "lot more interest in southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand" and was offering a variety of holiday options to these places.

Specially tailored packages offering unique holidays such as African safaris or adventure tours, golfing, health breaks are also on offer.

The company says for local corporates it offers cost-effective services both for business travel and personal travel requirements. Kuriakose says the company is also promoting tailor-made packages for conference and meetings organisers, reflecting Dubai's growing appeal as a MICE destination.

For visitors to Dubai, Oasis Adventures has lined up special summer bonanza packages to coincide with the Dubai Summer Surprises. The packages start from Dh50 ($14) per night for a double room at some of Dubai's leading hotel apartments.

Kuriakose said the outstanding efforts of Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing in promoting the destination have shown "very positive results" in increasing inbound tourism.
