De Blank also refuted claims about an oversupply of hotel rooms in the area which could hurt the market.

"There are only a handful of luxury hotels in Egypt. I agree there's an oversupply of mid-range hotels, but this could be solved by increasing flights into Egypt from worldwide destinations," he said.
