Egypt's cabinet has approved plans to split the state-owned aviation group EgyptAir into six companies grouped under a new holding company, Information Minister Safwat Al Sherif said.
The EgyptAir Holding Company will comprise six units covering airlines, maintenance, ground services, air cargo, tourism and flight services, he said. Sherif did not say if the government would offer any part of the new holding company for sale.
