Alaa Eldin Abd Elhay Elsepae has been appointed as the executive sous chef at Le Jeddah Meridien hotel in Saudi Arabia, general manager Dietmar Kielnhofer announced.
Chef Elsepae comes to Jeddah from the 813-room Le Meridien Makadi Bay in South Hurghada, Egypt where he worked in the same capacity. He is not a newcomer to the kingdom where he worked previously from 1986 to 1996. He has also worked for seven years in Italy in several specialised restaurants and hotels. The chef will add culinary clout to the kitchen brigade by focusing mainly on Italian and Middle Eastern cuisines, in particular Lebanese and Egyptian fare, one of the many strengths of Elsepae. He says he is committed to the highest culinary standards in the food and beverage operation by providing superior value to customers. The long-term success of food and beverage depends entirely on customer focus and satisfying all the needs and wants of our customers, says the chef.
