Marriott has a world of choice

Global hospitality group Marriott International is offering a world of holiday choices with special savings this summer.

The hotels group said the savings were available at about 300 hotels worldwide.

ÒWhether your interest is relaxation, culture, a romantic escape, or a shopping excursion in the city, Marriott offers a warm welcome and inviting rates that will appeal to most travel budgets,Ó said a spokesperson.

In the Middle East, Marriott hotels throughout the region have lined up attractive packages for holidaymakers.

A prime example of the choices on offer include two new openings in Egypt - the JW Marriott Hotel, Mirage City in Cairo which opens in August and the Taba Marriott Hotel & Beach Resort which opened last month along the Gulf of Aqaba in south Sinai.

Surrounded by palm trees and sparkling lakes, the JW Marriott Hotel is home to EgyptÕs first themed-water park and a championship 18-hole golf course. Opening rates start at US$99 per night, ending October 1.

The Taba Marriott will be joined by three additional hotels, luxury villas, a town centre with retail shopping, an 18-hole golf course, a casino, a 50-berth marina and two miles of unspoiled beach.

Opening rates begin at $60 for a double garden room with breakfast for two. Add $10 for a water view room. The price includes tax and service.

In Continental Europe, the group offers properties Marriott, Renaissance and Courtyard hotels in 17 counties with special rates that include breakfast for two.

For example, guests can stay at the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel for DK1,195 ($151) or the Marriott Riviera Hotel Cap dÕAil on the French Riviera for 145 euro ($136) a night. These packages are available through the end of the year.

In the UK, travellers can choose from 12 country clubs, 17 golf courses and 54 hotels in cities and towns. The Renaissance London Chancery Court, for instance, offers a one-night stay with breakfast for £138 ($201) from July 1 to the end of August.

In Latin America and Caribbean, holidaymakers can select the ÒSand Dollars Escape PackageÓ receiving a resort credit of $100 to $200 to spend during their stay at Marriott and Renaissance resorts in Puerto Vallarta and Cancun, Mexico; Jamaica; Aruba; Curacao and the Virgin Islands. The offer is valid until end of October.

In Asia Pacific region, the call of the wild is luring travellers to the Renaissance Melaka Hotel in Malaysia with a ÒHealth & Wealth in the Jungle PackageÓ.

Famed for its coral reef, the Gold Coast Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort in Australia has a midweek ÒDiscover Scuba Package,Ó which offers deluxe accommodations in an ocean view room, full buffet breakfast for two and scuba diving lessons for two at a cost of A$410 (US$233).
