Adventurous Ras Al Khaimah

WHETHER on land or in the sea, Ras Al Khaimah offers great opportunities to try something new this summer: from learning how to scuba dive, water ski, wake board or jet ski at Adventure Sports on the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa beach, to flying high in micro-light aircrafts and powered parachutes at Jazirah Aviation Club.

The emirate’s two 18-hole championship golf courses, Al Hamra Golf Club and Tower Links Golf Club offer golfing facilities.

The ‘Prince of  Sea’ yacht sets sail from Al Hamra Marina on daytime, sunset and dinner cruises where families, couples and groups can enjoy a cooling sea breeze and barbequed seafood as well as the chance to spot the rare green turtles at Al Marjan Island.  Alternatively, Iceland Water Park is a fun-filled escape from the heat for family adventures and also hosts exclusive Ladies Nights every Friday.

With 64 km of pristine natural beaches, there are events to suit all tastes throughout the summer. The Amasi Beach at Al Hamra Palace Beach Resort is hosting BBQs with free access to the beach and pool, children entertainment and live bands every Friday afternoon.

For weekend getaways, there are attractive rates available across Ras Al Khaimah’s broad range of international and local hotels including Hilton Ras Al Khaimah, Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa, DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton Al Hamra Golf & Beach Resort, Banyan Tree Al Wadi and Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach Resort, The Cove Rotana Resort, Bin Majid Beach Hotel, Bin Majid Beach Resort, Mangrove and Acacia, Al Hamra Palace Beach Resort and Al Hamra Village Golf & Beach Resort.

Khalid Motik, director at Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority says: “Located just 45 minutes from Dubai airport, with a range of great summer promotions, we anticipate that many UAE and GCC residents will choose Ras Al Khaimah for a summer escape.”
