Capitalising on the high profile launch on the Dubai hotel scene, The Fairmont Dubai is introducing a range of package options this summer, designed to appeal to regional visitors as well as corporate clients.Leisure: The 394-room hotel boasts the highest number of suites of any five-star property in Dubai, with 128 deluxe units as well as a luxurious spa and 12 food and beverage outlets, several of which are being highlighted in the summer packages valid until September 15. ÒWe have introduced a portfolio of packages that will suit all tastes, whether guests wish to be pampered in our Willow Stream spa or just use the hotel as a comfortable base from which to explore Dubai and its shopping malls,Ó said vice president and general manager Michael Kaile. The summer menu offers one rate of Dh485 (132), plus 20 per cent tax and service, from which guests can choose the package to suit their particular requirements. For the family suite option, there is accommodation for up to two children in their parentsÕ room free as well as complimentary meals for under 12s across the full portfolio of packages. The options are all inclusive of breakfast for two and include ÔSuite SeclusionÕ for those wishing to enjoy an extravagant stay in a luxurious suite or ÔStay and PlayÕ, offering a family suite and free transportation to Dubai Summer SurprisesÕ events. ÔSpa IndulgenceÕ covers a deluxe room and full access to the Willow Stream Spa and free 30-minute massage for two people. ÔSleep and EatÕ offers room and dinner for two at Spectrum on One, which offers eight different cuisines and is just one of the restaurant highlights of the hotel. Several of the restaurants are open for dinner until lam, while the poolside outlet serves food and refreshments until 11pm. Corporate: In addition to the summer menu for the leisure market, the hotel is also introducing value-for-money rates designed to appeal to companies arranging off-peak meetings. The hotel offers impressive facilities for business events including the 33rd storey conference centre with 18 meeting rooms and a 224-seat auditorium. The Exchange Business Floor is a whole level dedicated to corporate business and dining requirements. According to Stephen Banks, regional sales & marketing director, there is a growing trend for companies to use the summer period to arrange small meetings and training sessions. The rates are valid until August and are applicable for bookings of a minimum of 10 rooms plus a reservation for a meeting in one of the delegate rooms. Room rates are Dh450/ Dh490 in July and Dh400/ Dh440 in August and are inclusive of airport transfers, continental breakfast in The Exchange Business Lounge. There is a 20 per cent service charge and municipal tax and an offer of a bonus of one suite upgrade, when 15 rooms are booked. The day delegate package available in conjunction with these rates, offers room rental, use of screen and projector, discounts on other equipment hire, welcome coffees and juices, cookie break, buffet lunch with soft drinks, afternoon tea and pastries and is inclusive of 20 per cent service and tax. Rates are Dh100 in July and Dh95 in August. Loyalty programme: The Fairmont Dubai is also introducing its loyalty programme, PresidentÕs Club, for the first time to the Middle East for frequent guests. Three levels of membership are offered - Club, Gold and Platinum, based on the number of stays per year and/or dollars spent. Membership is free to all Fairmont guests.
