Al Murooj Rotana welcomes Andorff
Al Murooj Rotana Dubai has appointed Ulrike Andorff as executive assistant manager. Andorff brings with her over 25 years of experience having held significant roles in various brands across Europe, Asia, America and the Middle East. She was previously executive assistant manager of The Cove Rotana Resort and Spa in Ras Al Khaimah.
Abdallah joins Park Hyatt Jeddah
Anas Abdallah was recently appointed director of sales and marketing at Park Hyatt Jeddah. Abdallah started his career as a front desk clerk at Bristol Amman Hotel before moving to Grand Hyatt Amman and Park Hyatt Jeddah. His was most recently global sales director for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain at Hyatt International.
El Keiy joins Four Seasons InterContinental Hotels
Mahmoud El Keiy has been appointed hotel manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza. El Keiy joined the group with Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh before moving to Cairo as director of sales. He was later promoted to hotel manager for Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano.
Grand Millennium appoints Waldow
The Grand Millennium Dubai has appointed Vanessa Waldow as director of sales and marketing. She was previously with Melia Dubai Hotel managing the sales and marketing department. Waldow has also worked with Sheraton Doha and Sheraton Abu Dhabi before moving to Dubai as director of sales for two Four Points by Sheraton Hotels.
New role for Masih
Mövenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate has appointed Avnish Masih as chief concierge. Masih started his career in Dubai at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel’s’ diving centre as a guest service executive before moving to the concierge department as assistant concierge manager and then concierge manager at the Madinat Jumeirah.
Kilani joins Flamingo Hotels
The Flamingo Hotel Management and the Golden Tulip Hotels and Resorts, Mena has appointed Nuran Kilani to their sales team for Middle East region. Kilani brings with her hospitality experience of over 10 years with major international five-star hotels in Egypt, UAE and Oman.
Mövenpick Tala Bay welcomes Peter
Mövenpick Resort and Spa Tala Bay has welcomed its new general manager Beat Peter. Not new to the Mövenpick chain, Peter arrives in Aqaba from Kuwait where he was general manager at Mövenpick Hotel Kuwait. He previously worked in several countries including Dubai, the Ajman and Switzerland.
MEA Dubai appoints Garan
Marriott Executive Apartments (MEA) Dubai Creek has appointed Hossein Garanas general manager. Garan’s was also part of the Marriott Executive Apartments Manama, Bahrain team when it opened in 2008. Hossein started his career at the New York Marriott Marquis and has also worked with JW Marriott Kuwait City and Doha Marriott Hotel.
New tourism leader
The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (TDA) has announced Mohamed A Ruqait Al-Ali as acting chief operating officer. Al-Ali was previously general manager, private sector, of the TDA, and he will follow the vision of Ras AL Khaimah’s Rule His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qassimi to achieve the TDA’s tourism targets.
Casson moves to Dubai
Four Seasons veteran Simon Casson will take the helm as regional vice president and general manager of Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, when the property opens next year. Casson moves from his current position as regional vice president and general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Doha.
New role for Cusiter
Hyatt Hotels and Resorts has appointed Ron Cusiter as the vice president of sales operations for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Southwest Asia. Cusiter has more than 22 years of experience within hospitality, having excelled in building and influencing multi-cultural sales and marketing teams to achieve first-rate results in continuously evolving markets.
New appointments at Viceroy
Viceroy Hotel Group has announced three key appointments at the company’s holdings around the world. Tricia Warwick (right) takes charge as regional vice president of sales and marketing for EMEA, Jane O’Shea joins as regional director of sales and marketing,UK and Christophe Victor is the new director of sales for Viceroy Maldives.
New manager for Etihad Belarus
Etihad Airways has appointed Mansour Al Marzouqi as its new general manager in Belarus. Al Marzouqi joined Etihad Airways’ Graduate Management program in 2007, subsequently holding several key positions in sales and business development in the UAE before being appointed general manager of the Maldives in 2011.

Jumeirah Group has announced the appointment of two new directors for the historical Pera Palace Hotel, Jumeirah in Istanbul. Murat Cevherioglu (right)joins as director of sales and marketing of Pera Palace Hotel, Jumeirah and İlkeAlpaslan joins as food and beverage director.
Ascott boosts its management team
The Ascott Limited (Ascott) has appointed Sym K Lee as head of the GCC. The group has also appointed residence manager, Jabier Cid, for Ascott Park Place Dubai. Lee will oversee the growth strategies in the region as well as responsibilities as senior vice president for Asset Management and Business Development for Ascott in Europe.

Yuvarat Traisutrampornd has been appointed as director of event and convention management of Dusit Thani Pattaya. Prior to her new role she worked for Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok and The Peninsula Bangkok, where she acquired a strong background in Banqueting and Events management.
Per Aquum appoints Pace
Per Aquum has appointed hotelier Nigel Pace as general manager of Niyama Maldives. Pace has over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry with his last position general manager of the Singita Safari Collection in the Kruger National Park and before that, Cape Grace Hotel in Cape Town.
