InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in Jordan and Palestine announced Ayman Rasheed, as the area chief engineer for the IHG properties in Jordan and Palestine. In his new role, Rasheed will be working on implementing a solid structure for risk management for all the IHG hotels in his markets.

Rezidor appoints Cordon
The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Tim Cordon as general manager of Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek. He most recently managed the Cumberland Hotel in London where he delivered significant revenue growth over two years. Prior to this role he spent 10 years with Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.

The Ritz-Carlton, Doha welcomes Zee Bassila as the new director of sales and marketing. Bassila began his career with the Ritz-Carlton Montreal, his hometown, before moving to the Middle East accumulating 10 years of experience with various international brands, having also spent some time in Kiev and Singapore.

Anantara strengthens team
Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spa has announced the appointment of Moritz Klein as both general manager for Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa and area general manager, Abu Dhabi. Klein joins Anantara from Rotana Hotels, where he spent a highly successful nine years, most recently as area vice president Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

Four Seasons appoints Atef
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts announced the promotion of Ahmed Atef to director of sales for its properties in Cairo at Nile Plaza and Alexandria at San Stefano. Atef joined Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza in 2007 as sales manager. He was then promoted to associate director of sales.

Hilton Worldwide announced two key appointments to its KSA-based executive team.
Mahmoud Mokhtar re-joins Hilton Worldwide as vice president of operations for KSA. He was more recently chief operating officer for a KSA-based real estate investment company Fawaz Moumina (right) joins as country director for human resources, KSA.

Rezidor welcomes Kourotsidis
Konstantinos Kourotsidis has been appointed as general manager of the Radisson Blu Martinez Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon. Konstantinos joined the company in 2000 and has since moved to open several new Rezidor properties until he held the GM role at Radisson Blu Martinez Tripoli, Libya and then Fujairah, UAE, his most recent position.

Jumeirah appoints Yetisener
Jumeirah Group has announced Nadine Yetisener as the director of recruitment. Yetisener joined Jumeirah in 2010 and was promoted to hotel manager for Al Qasr and Dar Al Masyaf at Madinat Jumeirah. She has also worked for Hilton, The Address, Refad Hotels, InterContinental, Marriott and Kempinski Hotels and Resorts.

The Oetker Collection appoints Picard
The Oetker Collection has announced the appointment of Frédéric Picard (right) as general manager of L’Apogée Courchevel, due to open on December 11, 2013. Laurent Branover takes over his previous role as general manager of Palais Namaskar Marrakech. Before joining the Oetker Collection, he was hotel manager for the Raffles Singapore.

Ruth Swamy has been appointed as business development manager at the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel Dubai. Swamy moves from Mondo Hospitality where she was corporate sales manager. She began her career in hotels at the Emirates Towers and also worked for Coral Hotels, Dusit Princess Hotel and Traders Hotel.

Jumeirah welcomes Khanfar
Jumeirah Group has appointed its first Emirati general manager, Samer Khanfar for Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre Residences. He joined Jumeirah Group in 2006 as a retail outlet manager and moved up as retail manager of Souk Madinat Jumeirah to director of retail and finally as director of property at the Jumeirah Living residences.

Ramada Downtown Dubai announced the appointment of Shafi Dady Sibomana (right) as front office manager. She was previously with Al Manzil Hotel as assistant front office manager. The hotel also announced promotions of Sharief Barfaab as housekeeping manager and Niel Canzana as senior sales manager.

Pullman Dubai Deira City Centre has appointed Aylin Aydin as director of sales and marketing. Aydin has also worked with the Ramee Group of hotels and Radisson Blu Dubai Deira Creek. Most recently she was cluster director of sales and marketing at Radisson Blu and Park Inn Abu Dhabi Yas Island.

Covi Larxe-Rey (right) joins as director of sales bringing with her experience from various international hotel chains including Marriott, Ritz Carlton and Shangri-La. Bin Majid Hotels has appointed of Juan Carlos Gonzalez Aguado (right) as the director of operations for Mangrove Hotel and Berk Ozkeresteci as the director of food and beverage for Bin Majid Hotels. Aguado has held several managerial positions with hotels in Spain and Tunis while Ozkeresteci brings F&B experience from USA, Istanbul and UAE.

EddéSands Hotel and Wellness Resort has appointed Nadim el Chakhtoura as director of operations. Chakhtoura has previously worked in several hotels in Lebanon such as Le Royal and the Gefinor Rotana before joining EddéSands as director of food and beverage. He was previously general manager of the U Bay Club & Restaurants.

InterContinental Abu Dhabi has announced the appointment of Fady Atwan as the new director of sales and marketing. Atwan was previously director of sales groups and leisure at InterContinental Festival City in Dubai. Prior to that, he held the role of director of sales for the GCC and Middle East.

New role for Zaid
Yasser Zaid has been promoted to operations manager from his previous role of hotel manager for Al Nawras Hotel Apartments. He brings with him more than 10 years of hospitality experience and has previously worked for international companies including the Banyan Tree and Le Méridien Hotels.
