ABDUL Latif Jameel Real Estate Investment Company (ALJREIC), one of the leading real estate and development companies in Saudi Arabia, focused on developing hotel facilities for Hajj and Umrah visitors, has announced the launch of its new full service hospitality brand Anjum Hotels. The brand will primarily operate ALJREIC’s SR10 billion ($2.66 billion) Jabal Al Ka’aba project in Makkah which will add 8,500 hotel rooms to the kingdom over the next few years.
The new brand’s flagship hotel will be Anjum Makkah Hotel, a 1,795-room hotel, also part of the first phase of the Jabal Al Ka’aba project. Anjum Makkah is expected to open doors in early 2013 and will be largest and the first hotel within the project. Offering the best of Hijazi hospitality, the hotel is just walking distance from the Holy Haram with an exit and tunnel connected directly to the new King Abdullah Gate thus providing guests’ unrivalled access to Al Masjid Al Haram.

Anjum which means ‘constellation of constellations’ in Arabic, will offer guests an array of exclusive services such as a dedicated guest centre to respond to the various requests of the guests; a Manasek desk to assist guests throughout their religious rituals; a Kids World featuring a specialised, trained team to look after children between the ages of three and seven; and Azad Floors, which will offer premium services to its guests.
Each of the 1,795 rooms and suites of the hotel offers comfortable and convenient accommodation, and most notably, each room can accommodate up to four guests. While the hotel’s thoughtful design reflects the significance of its prime location, with elegant architecture and furnishings. As well as the hotel’s 26 air-conditioned elevators, each with a 16-guest capacity, which will address the heavy traffic situation expected during prayer times.
