DESERT Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara has teamed up with Seawings to offer guests a taste of the high life, with private flight transfers between Jebel Ali Seaport and Sir Bani Yas Seaport on Sir Bani Yas Island, to provide the ultimate experience for an extravagant Friday lunch, or weekend getaway.

Anantara’s ‘The Ultimate Friday Lunch’ is guaranteed to dazzle even the most jaded of expats, or discerning of diners. This out of this world experience begins with a limousine pick-up at 8am (transporting up to six guests) from one residential address in Dubai to a luxury private jet at Jebel Ali Seaport, where they board the 80 minute flight.   On arrival at Desert Islands Resort & Spa, guests can discover the island’s exotic wildlife on a Nature & Wildlife Drive, with the chance to spot cheetah, giraffes and striped hyena, before sitting down to devour a sumptuous gourmet BBQ lunch.  Lunch includes a selection of the finest meats, seafood and international fare expertly prepared by a private chef, accompanied by free-flowing beverages.  Set amongst the dazzling surroundings of the Resort and the Arabian Gulf, this is set to be a truly unrivalled Friday lunch experience.

Christian Zunk, general manager for Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara, says: “We want every guest who visits an Anantara resort to leave having enjoyed an extraordinary experience.  For me, being flown from busy city life via private jet, to a beautiful island, steeped in culture and heritage, to enjoy a luxurious lunch or weekend break is pretty hard to beat in terms of an extraordinary experience.”

The jet departs Sir Bani Yas Island at 4 pm, leaving time after lunch for guests to relax and enjoy the pool and beach at their leisure.  The Ultimate Friday Lunch is charged at Dh7,650 ($2,082) per person, based on a party of six people.

For those seeking a longer break the ‘Weekends on the Wildside’ package at Desert Islands Resort & Spa offers an exhilarating weekend package which combines luxury with exploration, in the way only Anantara can.  For Dh11,770 ($3,204) per room, guests are transported by private jet for a two night stay, including breakfast, at Desert Islands Resort & Spa.  Whilst at the Resort, guests can discover an array of exotic wildlife with Wildlife Drive, get an adrenalin fix with activities such as Kayaking and Archery or unwind with a blissful 60-minute massage at the Anantara Spa.

Exclusive charters are priced at Dh19,410 ($5,284) each way for a maximum of six passengers, while regular charters, departing Thursdays and Saturdays, are priced at Dh1,880 ($511) per person each way, or Dh1,598 ($435) each way for children.
