The Park Regis Kris Kin has had an excellent start to the new year

OFFICIALS from the Park Regis Kris Kin in Dubai will showcase the hotel’s facilities at ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade fair, this month, exhibiting as part of the Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM) delegation.

The show, which attracted more than 11,000 exhibitors and 169,000 visitors in 2011, is the premier meeting place for the travel industry and represents an unparalleled opportunity for the hotel to build on the success it has achieved in its first year of operation.

According to general manager Scott Butcher, while the Park Regis Kris Kin has enjoyed an excellent start to 2012 with 100 per cent occupancy on many days, the competition, both in Dubai and around the world, means that ITB is vital to cement partnerships with travel buyers in Europe.

“With 13,300 hotel rooms in the pipeline in Dubai, according to STR Global figures, we know that continuous marketing is essential to establish the hotel as a viable option for both leisure and business visitors,” he said.

“While the emirate has been extremely successful in emerging and growing markets such as GCC, China, India and Brazil, for example, Europe remains a key source of business and our aim will be to forge relationships with the key travel operators in the region.”

The 390-room hotel, opposite BurJuman Mall, is part of the Australian Staywell Hospitality Group, one of the largest independently owned hotel management groups in Asia Pacific operating Park Regis and Leisure Inn brands with 24 properties in Australia and Singapore and expansion plans in China, India and Europe.
