HILTON Worldwide opened the doors on its first hotel in Egypt in 1959 and became the first international hotel company to have a presence in the country.   More than 50 years later, the company is the largest hotel chain in Egypt with 18 properties, approximately 7000 bedrooms and team members totalling 8,000.  Hilton Worldwide has more hotels in Egypt than any other country in the Middle East and Africa region.

As the pre-eminent hospitality provider in the region, the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of properties in Egypt incorporates many styles and offerings but all share the well defined, distinctive company hallmarks of top quality facilities and high standards of service.  A sought after portfolio, Hilton Worldwide offers urban luxury and sophistication in cities such as Cairo and Alexandria to stunning resorts and spas in relaxing holiday areas of Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Taba, Marsa Alam as well as the ancient city of Luxor.

As testament to the quality and universal appeal of Hilton Worldwide hotels in Egypt, a trio of properties have been recognised and awarded with notable accolades.  Conrad Cairo and Hilton Sharm El Sheikh Farouz were honoured with TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards for 2012.   Meanwhile, Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa was proud to also be honoured with seven TripAdvisor awards including Relaxation and Best Service.  The 2012 TripAdvisor awards are voted for by hotel guests themselves and widely recognised as one of the highest accolades a hotel can receive.   In addition to TripAdvisor, Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa has been recognised by the Egyptian Tourism Authority as best in class honours for ‘best hygiene’ and ‘outstanding performance by hotel’.

Hilton Worldwide’s commitment and confidence in Egypt, its people, business and community where Hilton began their Middle East and Africa expansion, remains as strong as ever.  Over the next two years, the company expects to open more hotels in Egypt adding almost 1300 additional rooms to their national total and continuing the tradition of providing hospitality and comfort to the business and leisure guest.   Hilton Heliopolis, a 635-room hotel, located near Cairo International Airport, is projected to open in 2014 and Hilton Makadi, a new 660-room hotel, is expected open early 2013 and will become the company’s fourth hotel in the popular Red Sea resort of Hurghada.
