THE Landmark Group won the bid to launch its next addition to its portfolio in Lebanon, expected to open in May 2012, said general manager of Landmark Amman Hotel & Conference Center, Firas Mneimneh. The group is also expected to introduce two new properties in Baghdad, Iraq.
The Landmark Amman Hotel & Conference Center has grown in strength to become an iconic business property in Jordan, and in spite of current challenges, throughout the region has continued to enjoy success. Mneimneh added: “Jordan was slightly affected with the drop of business but on the other hand Jordan is a safe haven for the region and saw businesses coming in due to the security and political stability.
“We at Landmark do not count only on the leisure business (tourist groups), we have a proper business mix of corporate accounts (local and international), UN agencies as well as NGOs, which makes up for the reduced business of leisure.”
