Rezidor’s new Middle East team

The Rezidor Hotel Group announced new appointments for the Middle East in-line with their growth plans. The new additions are Stephanie Aboujaoude (pictured) as regional marketing manager, Stuart Allum as purchasing manager UAE,  Aline Barhouche as regional HR manager and Ahmed Adam, director of sales for Saudi Arabia.

 

 

 

 

 

Doubaj named sales manager

Ibtissam Doubaj joins the Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson Hotels on Yas Island as the sales manager, moving from the Millennium Hotel Abu Dhabi. She brings a wealth of experience in the hotel industry having worked as receptionist, housekeeping manager, guest relations officer and sales executive in different hotels in Paris, Morocco and Abu Dhabi.

 

 

 

 

 

Dusit Thani Dubai appoints Audrain

Dusit Thani Dubai has named Mike Audrain as the new director of human resources, as they push forward with their next IIP accreditation. Audrain brings over 30 years of experience and was previously with the Grand Millennium Al Wahda Abu Dhabi, where he implemented a number of new strategies, benefit systems and a learning and development framework.

 

 

 

 

 

New GM at Corinthia St. Petersburg

Corinthia Hotels hasappointed Eric Pere asgeneral manager of the Corinthia Hotel St. Petersburg in Russia. He was previously general manager at the Corinthia Hotel Tripoli. Before joining Corinthia, he was director of development with Orient Express Hotels and prior to that general manager of Bora Bora Lagoon Resort & Spa in the South Pacific.

 

 

 

 

 

New GM at City Seasons Suites

City Seasons Group of Hotels has appointed Hameed Al Alawi as general manager for City Seasons Suites Dubai. Al Alawi has previously worked for British Airways and has spent ten years with the Hilton Group. Prior to joining to City Seasons, he was general manager at the Coral Hotel Muscat and previously at EWA Hotel Bahrain.

 

 

 

 

 

New role for El Keiy

Mahmoud El Keiy has been recently promoted to hotel manager of Four Seasons Alexandria at San Stefano. El Keiy has spent over 10 years as part of Four Seasons first with the pre-opening team at Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh as sales manager, followed by Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza as director of sales.

 

 

 

 

 

Amer joins Hurghada Marriott

Wael Amer, formerly resident manager of Taba Heights Marriott, has been appointed as the new resident manager of Hurghada Marriott Beach Resort, Red Sea, Egypt. Amer who will celebrate 23 years with the company will oversee the hotel’s business results, operational improvements and developing community relation activities.

 

 

 

 

 

Radisson Blu Bahrain appoints Kuhn

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Bahrain has appointed Michael Kuhn as the new director of sales and marketing. Kuhn started his career 12 years ago with the group as a sales manager at Radisson SAS Hotels & Resort in Erfurt, Germany. His was recently director of sales and marketing at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Muscat.

 

 

 

 

 

Mövenpick Bur Dubai welcomes Fakih

The Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai has appointed Mohamed Fakih as its new food and beverage manager. Fakih is not a newcomer for Mövenpick family having worked as assistant director of food and beverage in Mövenpick Resort Al Nawras Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He brings 15 years of solid food and beverage experience.

 

 

 

 

 

Bahrain Air appoints new CEO

Bahrain Air has appointed Richard Nuttall as chief executive officer of the airline, taking charge from December 2011. Prior to joining Bahrain Air as director commercial operations a year and half ago, he worked in senior positions with Cathay Pacific Airways, Philippine Airlines, Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings and Kenya Airways.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Onyx Hospitality appoints Wolf

Onyx Hospitality Group announced the appointment of Stefan Wolf as vice president, revenue management to oversee global revenue strategies for the group. He moves from Rocco Forte Hotels where he was group director of revenue management & distribution. He has held similar roles with the IHG, Shangri-La & Jumeirah Group.

 

 

 

 

 

Chef Barber at Saadiyat Golf Club

Saadiyat Beach Golf Club and Fanr, the recently opened chic restaurant at Manarat Al Saadiyat has appointed chef Simon Barber. chef Barber’s career highlights comprise having worked with the renowned Laurent Pourcel and at various award-winning restaurants in London as well as serving up his delights for royalty and celebrity icons.

 

 

 

 

 

Michelin Star chef at St. Regis Doha

Michelin Star chef Gilles Bosquet joins the team at The St. Regis Doha as fine dining chef de Cuisine. Before joining the team, he worked at a number of Michelin Star restaurants in London, France and the UAE. In 2009, chef Bosquet opened his own restaurant in the French countryside, where he was awarded his first Michelin Star after only two years.

 

 

 

 

 

Jarrell joins Amadeus

Amadeus announced a key strategic appointment of airport technology heavyweight John Jarrell to lead its Airport IT business. Jarrell, who was most recently the general manager of EMS Aviation at EMS Technologies, joins with a clear brief to grow Amadeus’ Airport IT proposition aggressively, holding end-to-end responsibility across the business unit.

 

 

 

 

 

Gulf Air appoints Fontana

Gulf Air has appointed Marco Fontana as its new country manager for Italy. With over 20 years’ experience Fontana moves from Air Berlin where he held the similar role. He has also held similar roles with Thomas Cook,
US Airways, Lufthansa Airplus International and Sky Europe.
