New GM at Radisson Blu Fujairah
The Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Cornelia Erhardt as general manager of the Radisson Blu Resort, Fujairah. Erhardt arrived in the region as general manager for the Radisson Blu Residence, Dubai Marina in 2007. In 2009, she moved to Jordan to lead the Radisson Blu Tala Bay Resort in Aqaba, Jordan.

Rotana appoints McCarthy
Rotana has appointed Mark McCarthy as general manager for the two pre-opening properties Al Ghurair Arjaan by Rotana and Al Ghurair Rayhaan by Rotana, Dubai. McCarthy joined the company in 2007 as the general manager for Towers Rotana Dubai, after 31 years in the hospitality business.

JW Marriott Dubai appoints Scoble
Marriott International has appointed Richard Scoble as general manager of the JW Marriott Hotel Dubai. From 1982 until recently, Scoble held several general manager positions in the UK with Trusthouse Forte, Moat House Hotels and Swallow Hotels. Since then, Scobble has worked for Whitbread or Marriott across UK.

Leclerc at Mövenpick El Gouna
The Mövenpick Hotels & Resort has appointed Jean-Pierre Leclerc as general manager of Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna, moving from the Mövenpick Royal Palm Hotel Dar es Salaam. His previous roles include GM for La Pirogue Hotel in Mauritius, MD of Maison de l’Amerique Latine, Paris and regional manager of Louvre Hotels Paris.

Jumeirah Group has appointed three new general managers in Dubai. Grant Ruddiman (right) takes charge at Jumierah Emirates Towers. Stephan Schupbach joins Jumeirah Zabeel Saray and in taking his previous role at Al Qasr and Dar Al Maysaf in Madinat Jumeirah is Anne-Marie Houston.

Zunk appointed at by Anantara Hotels
Anantara has announced Christian Zunk as general manager for the Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara, on Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi and the Al Yamm Lodge and Al Sahel Lodge by Anantara, two new luxury lodges currently under development. He moves from the Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa, also owned by Minor International.

Raffles Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Peter French as regional vice president EMEA. He will continue his role as general manager for Raffles Dubai. In his naew role he will oversee the Royal Monceau-Raffles Paris and Raffles Praslin Seychelles as well as new Raffles hotels under development in EMEA.

Joy apointed at Global Holidays
Managing director of Global Holidays Sultan Mohamed Ebrahim Al Saman Al Neami has appointed Lejo Joy as business development manager based out of Abu Dhabi and overseeing Abu Dhabi and Al Ain markets. Prior to this role, Joy was working with Net Tours and Travels in Dubai as assistant inbound manager.
