New faces at Fairmont Hotels
Fairmont Hotels & Resort has announced Michael Moecking (pictured) as general manager of Fairmont Dubai and Martin van Kan as general manager for the Fairmont Palm Jumeirah, opening 2012. Moecking moves from the Swissôtel Berlin while Van Kan was director of operations, Oman and GM of Al Bustan Palace.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has appointed Roddy Gordon as director of marketing of Rosewood Abu Dhabi, opening next year. Gordon was vice president of sales and marketing for Tamani Hotels and Resorts, Dubai for the last three years, and was previously with Hyatt International in Chicago.
