Dubai International Airport will have a new check-in lounge for business executives flying by Emirates.
Work on the multimillion dollar First and Business class check-in lounge is in its final stage. The lounge, which is set to open this month, is exclusive to the airline. "We are expanding and improving our Dubai First and Business airport lounges. And next month, our superb new retail shop opens at the Dubai Airline Centre on Shaikh Zayed Road," said Tim Clark, Emirates chief director. "The new facility is in harmony with our whole approach to services for business travellers. It will make their trip as hassle-free as possible, as just one of Emirates' many innovations to make flying more efficient and enjoyable for our regulars." Emirates Express will have six special check-in counters for First and 10 for Business Class customers, plus eight express check-ins for travellers with hand luggage only. The facilities will also be open to Gold and Silver members of Skywards Emirates' frequent flyer scheme. There will also be fast-track airport emigration and security channels within the check-in terminal. The new lounge will be located at the far end of the airport departure gates and next to the offices of the Department of Civil Aviation.
