The Al Bustan Centre and Residence in Dubai will be promoting its luxury hotel apartments as an ideal family destination in the emirate at the Arabian Travel Market.

"Our main aim is to promote Al Bustan Residence-Hotel Apartments as a family destination with its own identity and encourage short-term and long- term stays, enabling us to target a much wider range of clients," says general manager Moussa El Hayek.

Al Bustan Residence-Hotel Apartments offers 640 furnished apartments comprising of studios and one, two and three bedroom apartments, a business centre with excellent secretarial services and wide range of facilities from Internet to four break-out rooms which can accommodate 75 people for meetings and hi-tech seminars.

For leisure, guests have access to two tennis courts, a health club with sauna, steam room, massage and swimming pool. They can also avail of a daily shuttle bus that takes them downtown or to Al Mamzar Beach.

The inhouse Al Bustan Centre shopping mall features nearly 80 retail outlets offering a variety of brands, multi-cuisine restaurants and fast food outlets, two cinema theatres, an Internet cafŽ and Fantasy Kingdom, one of the largest indoor amusement arcades in the UAE.

El Hayek said Al Bustan Centre and Residence which has taken part in the ATM since 1996, also aims to meet existing clients while increasing awareness of the range of services offered.

"We will use ATM as a platform to introduce travel agencies and tour operators to the wide range of accommodation and services we have to offer in Al Bustan Residence-Hotel Apartments," he said.

El Hayek also called for greater concentration on the GCC, Middle East and Far East markets at the show to further boost the regional industry.

He said Al Bustan Centre and Residence was well-placed to benefit from the booming tourism growth in Dubai.

Highlighting this growth, he said Dubai which had only 44 hotels a decade ago, today boasts 282 hotels with a total of 10,000 five star rooms.

"By 2010, the number of hotels is expected to rise to 400, and this new sector already accounts for 16 per cent of GDP," said El Hayek.

El Hayek said Al Bustan Centre and Residence had a highly successful Dubai Shopping Festival in March with occupancy ranging between 82 per cent and 99 per cent.

It is now planning special rates and packages over the summer.

"Al Bustan Centre will be hosting the various Summer Surprises during the 10 weeks starting June 20. The Centre will also be participating in the Dubai Shopping Malls Grand Promotion and our outlets will have their own discounts and sales, in addition to that, there will be daily fun-filled activities for children and families at the Centre," said El Hayek.
