Taiwan launches new brand

THIS is proving to be a special year for Taiwan with the country’s tourism bureau launching a new brand, and new logo with the slogan ‘Taiwan - the heart of Asia’.

The initiative signifies Taiwan’s unique geographic location and easy access to any major city in Asia in four hours flying time and it also  represents the warmth of the island’s connections across the world.

The tourism bureau says Taiwan is recognised as one of the friendliest countries in Asia and it hopes the  new brand and slogan will be the beginning of a new era in the island’s efforts to become one of the world’s top destinations for tourism and meetings.

The small yet dynamic island country is full of resources for tourism and high standard meetings. Taiwan is known for its advanced development in IT and bio-technologies as well as industrial innovation. It also has great natural beauty, cultural diversity and the ability to host mega events such as the 2009 World Games in Kaohsiung.

Taiwan Tourism Bureau will be at Imex 2011 with a strong Mice team including representatives from Taiwan Convention & Exhibition Association, Golden Foundation Tours, GIS Group, Taiwanlook, K&A International, Howard Hotel, TICC and TAITRA .
