Sabine Sauerstein, a hospitality industry executive with 15 years experience, has been named director of sales and marketing at The Ritz-Carlton, Sharm El Sheikh, general manager Ricco De Blank announced.
A native of Germany, Sauerstein's career includes positions in Sri Lanka, Dubai, the United States and Egypt. Most recently, she held sales and marketing posts with Forte Meridien Hotels.
Sauerstein, an avid diver and equestrienne, will direct the sales and marketing efforts for the hotel, the first Ritz-Carlton in Egypt.
The Red Sea resort is noted for its diving facilities and a world-class spa which embraces health and fitness traditions of the nearby desert.
