JW Marriott Hotel in Dubai has named a new executive chef.
Ingo Maass returns to the emirate bringing with him a wealth of experience after several stints in various capacities in Dubai and elsewhere in the world, the hotel said in a statement.
Maass began his career as an apprentice cuisinier at the restaurant Friesenhof Kiel, Germany.
His success story stretches from Australia to Yugoslavia and from a two star lunchtime restaurant in France to big hotels in Indonesia and Korea with brigades of 150 to 250 chefs, the hotel said.
In Dubai, he has worked at the Hyatt Regency as chef de cuisine and at the Hotel Inter-Continental as executive sous chef. He joins the Marriott from Sheraton Club Des Pins Resort and Towers Alger in Algeria where he was food and beverage manager.
