THE Millennium Hotel Abu Dhabi has enjoyed an international reputation as one of the world’s pre-eminent hotels since its inception in March 2002. Boasting 325 rooms, the hotel has gained popularity thanks to its facilities, chic interiors and commitment to sustainability. The hotel is a subtle blend of classic and contemporary, of old world ambience and modern lifestyle. The Millennium Abu Dhabi also exudes a cosmopolitan flair equally suitable for business and leisure.

Standing elegantly on Khalifa Street and offering easy access to all the capital’s many attractions as well as providing unrivalled postcard views of the Capital Gardens and Corniche, the 18-storey Millennium is all about comfort.

“At the Millennium Hotel it’s all about You. We wrap our hotel around your needs; we wrap our venues around your events, so you will never have to choose between class and style, between service and comfort, between features and values, because you actually have it all,” says Moine Kandil, general manager of the hotel.  “You will feel it from the minute you enter the hotel. Transformed by a magical act of alchemy, everything speaks of quality with no detail gone unnoticed.  Small touches you will experience are some of the unexpected surprises that guests rave about.”

As well as comfortable ambience in the rooms, the hotel also offers a collection of food and beverage offerings, from the Citrus Restaurant serving à la carte to daily breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets to the Marrakesh restaurant serving Arabic food and entertainment, the Italian Sevilo’s and the Cristal cigar lounge.

The hotel also features a meeting and conference centre that provides comfortable and professional services, modern facilities and state-of-the-art audio visual equipment.

“There is nothing we won’t do to make your stay a memorable one,” said Nevine Albert, director of PR & Communications. “At the Millennium Abu Dhabi, the focus is only on the essence of life and we appreciate every moment whether you are doing business or on vacation.”

The hotel also addresses a very important concern – going green, which has become a key criterion for many clienteles.

“Our hotel, which was awarded the ‘Best Environmental Hotel’ at the Mena Travel Awards in 2009,  will always set an example within the industry by exerting all our efforts to improve ecological awareness on a people level, hotel level and societal level and to ignite in others the passion of implementing green initiatives,” said Kandil.

The hotel initiated conservation of energy and water, waste reduction as well as the use of eco-friendly materials, cutting back on the use of products which damage the environment and utilising products made in the UAE rather than importing them.

“We have also introduced environmentally-friendly products such as long-life light bulbs and a building management system (BMS) which conserves and regulates air conditioning and electricity in different areas of the hotel,” he said.
