The move is the result of new management agreements signed by Rotana for properties across the region, including new projects in Cairo, Jordan, Oman, Iraq, Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

2010 saw the company sign a number of management contracts while many more are under construction or development.
May 2010 saw the opening of Centro Barsha, Rotana’s first property to open in Dubai under the brand Centro Hotels by Rotana, following the opening of Centro Yas Island in Abu Dhabi and in June 2010, Rotana opened its first beach property in Dubai Amwaj Rotana.
The Centro Barsha, Dubai comprises 246 rooms, features a lobby lounge and offers advanced business facilities built into every room including high speed wi-fi internet access.
Located on Jumeirah beach, Amwaj Rotana is part of the new Jumeirah Beach Residence complex and is a significant move into the resort arena for Rotana in Dubai. The property consists of 301 deluxe rooms and suites, flexible and multipurpose ballroom, meeting rooms and state-of-the-art fitness facilities. In addition the resort has an all-day dining restaurant serving international cuisine, a pool-side bar and lobby lounge, an Italian restaurant and a Japanese restaurant and sushi bar. All restaurants have outdoor terraces for al fresco dining. Guests will also have access to the Jumeirah Beach.
Moving to the capital, Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana opened its door in September 2010. This alcohol-free city resort is located 30 minutes from the Abu Dhabi International Airport and features 443 luxurious rooms, suites and serviced apartments, outstanding food and beverage venues, six meeting rooms, business facilities, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and extensive water sport activities on one of the country’s most stunning beaches.
Situated in the picturesque emirate of Fujairah, Nour Arjaan by Rotana opened its door in October 2010. The hotel offers 252 rooms, meeting rooms, an all day dining restaurant and a café. It will also feature a rooftop swimming pool and an extensive gym.
Oryx Rotana, Doha, the company’s first property in Qatar, opened in August 2010. Oryx Rotana is located in a close proximity to Doha International Airport, this 400-room four star hotel offers a wide variety of food and beverage venues, ballrooms and flexible meeting rooms, state-of-the art business services and fitness centre.
The much awaited Erbil Rotana in Iraq opened in December 2010. The five-star hotel is located close to the ministries area and near Erbil International exhibition fair in the Iraqi Kurdistan region and features 201 luxurious rooms and suites; five food and beverage outlets and recreational areas including Bodylines health and fitness club and a swimming pool.
